My first mooncakes for this year, with the compliments of a friend. They come in four special flavours - Lotus Seed paste with double yolk, Yuzu Birdnest (new to me), Red Bean paste with 40 year old dried Tangerine Peel and Assorted Nuts and Sundried Fruits. Great to munch while watching TV!
The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on Friday, 25th September, about two weeks away. The shops have of course stocked up on mooncakes and one shop near me has already put up its cellophane lanterns for sale! They make me wish I were a kid again!
