I had another pleasant surprise last week. I found that one of my chilly plants had produced a 3 inch long green chilly! Since then, it has grown to 4.5 inches long and another small chilly has appeared!

This makes me wonder how long it will grow...? I might add that my other chilly plants produce only the small variety of green chillies and this plant seems to be the exception. I am not a chilly fan so I have been supplying them to friends. They tell me that they are nice and hot and go down very well with soy sauce. Incidentally, these chilly plants were brought over to our garden by birds. I have a lot to thank them for!
