Deepavali or The Festival of Lights falls on 17th October this year. As I thumbed through this morning's papers, I came across many articles on this colourful festival as well as full page advertisements from various corporate bodies. The advertisements were all well written but I liked the one by Sime Darby best. Here it is:
"DO WE SEE THE LIGHT?
DO WE REALISE HOW MUCH WE HAVE DEPLETED OUR PLANET'S NATURAL RESOURCES? WE AT SIME DARBY ARE DOING WHAT WE CAN TO HELP RESTORE NATURE. TOGETHER AS 1MALAYSIA, WE CAN MAKE GREATER STRIDES.
THIS DEEPAVALI, MAY THE LIGHT DISPEL THE DARKNESS OF OUR IGNORANCE TO ACHIEVE A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR ALL."
Yes, may the light illumine our path and dispel the darkness.
