Arrival of the bride and groom
The tea ceremony was held at Gim's apartment at Springtide Residences in Tanjung Bungah. Simon is a fitness instructor and towers over Genevieve, who is small and dainty. She had four bridesmaids, all dressed in short, light mauve dresses. Her younger sister, Geraldine and cousin, Jennifer were two of them.

The wedding dinner was held at the Rasa Sayang Resort in Batu Ferringhi. I must say Gim and her husband did a good job of organising the function. Guests received a paper weight with the names of the bride and bridegroom inscribed on it and perhaps the most pleasant surprise was a copy of the photograph that guests took with the newly weds outside the ballroom, delivered within an hour! We also saw a video of the couple's travels around the world. The speeches made by the bride's sister and the bride herself were quite touching and some guests were probably close to tears!

It was well past 11.30 p.m. when we left. To some guests the night was still young and they were enjoying themselves dancing to the lively music.
The couple will be spending their honeymoon at Pangkor Laut. What do we wish newly weds? A happy life together, of course.
