I discovered these beautiful green roses on a trip to the market yesterday. At first I thought they were made from some synthetic material but I discovered to my delight that they are made from pandan (screw pine) leaves! I took one, smelt it and aah! The fresh smell of pandan - most fragrant and sweet! The lady making them has also taken the initiative to create a small vase and decorate it with pretty lace to hold the roses - and all that for only RM5! I couldn't resist buying a set and now the lovely aroma of pandan fills my sitting room! Just perfect for Chinese New Year!
