What is better than an act of charity as a start to the New Year? I joined some friends to give a tea party for the children of the Children's Protection Society on Saturday, 2nd January at the home's premises. When we arrived with our bundles of goodies, we were told that the majority of the children were attending a workshop at the Caring Society Complex and would only be back at around 4.15 p.m. Nevertheless we set to work laying the table and arranging the muffins, cakes, custard puffs, spring rolls and drinks on the dining room table.

After what seemed to be an endless wait, the children finally returned home at around 4.45 p.m. and we immediately ushered them to the dining room for tea. Though a little tired, the children enjoyed most of the snacks especially the ice cream. Presents were later distributed to them.
