This annual festival ("Kew Ong Yeah") is here again and the streets are lined with makeshift stalls selling vegetarian food! This particular street where I took the photos has a wide variety of food available from fried noodles to spring rolls. When I went there around lunch time, the street was thronged with people and cars and finding a parking space was a real problem. This time of year is truly a haven for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike! The festival began on 20th October and will end on the 28th (nine days) with a spectacular procession to send off the Gods to the sea in an "Emperor Boat" Yellow, by the way, is the official colour for this festival, hence the bright yellow table cloth.
