Another family gathering - this time to host a cousin and his wife from the US. We hadn't seen them since the pandemic began and it was great to be in their company again. The cousins on this side of the family (father's side) are not camera shy, so I managed to get a group photo when we had lunch at a restaurant. The couple flew from N.Y. to Singapore, then came to Penang via K.L. and Ipoh (we have a number of relatives in Ipoh). On their way back to catch their flight home from Singapore, they stopped at Melaka to taste some Nonya food, something which they had been missing for a long time.
Here are some pictures of the dishes we had at the restaurant. Incidentally, a few well known restaurants were closed due to the Nine Emperor Gods' Festival and we were lucky to find this one!

It was an enjoyable lunch and hopefully we shall see more of everyone in the near future!
