I visited the annual Penang Floral Festival at the Botanic Gardens
recently looking for plants to cheer up my garden. Being the school
holidays, there were a number of flower enthusiasts looking around
and admiring the flowers, especially the orchids. I was more interested in
crotons and found one stall which was selling a number of varieties. I
ended up with three pots of crotons and three bags of organic soil!
Unfortunately I didn't have time to visit the competition booths where
some prize orchids were displayed. I was told some of these are
collectors' items and are rarely put on public display. Here are some of the pictures I took.
