Sai Christmas

I woke up on Christmas morning to the sound of birds chirping in the garden and the rustle of leaves in the trees.  It was a glorious morning, the world had not ended and it is wonderful to be alive!

Our Christmas programme was a prayer session and carol singing at our Sai centre.  Mum had been looking forward to this day for some time and it was nice to be among our friends once again.  Someone gave Mum a red Christmas cap to wear - it certainly put her in the right mood!  After an hour of boisterous singing, Santa made his appearance with a bagful of presents for distribution.  This year, Santa was played by a new young devotee who despite his long white beard could have passed for Santa's son! We received our little packets of goodies and then adjourned to a veggie lunch.   All in all, an enjoyable morning.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas.  I always feel a little sad when Christmas is over. ... let us keep the "Christmas magic" alive throughout the year ... let love and peace always reside in our hearts ... oh, by the way, Happy New Year!
