Has it really been a year since you left us?
I know you are now in a beautiful place
free from pain and sorrow,
Yet my heart still aches when I think of you.
"Grieve not for me," I can hear you say,
"Let me go and be happy."
But when can I let you go, I wonder,
as a tear trickled down my cheek.

It is always very hard to lose someone you love into death.  I wrote this poem on 1st May, it being the first anniversary of Mum's journey to God*.  Time has really sped by very quickly, it's hard to believe I've been without her for a year.  As I watched the monks in the temple chant prayers for her, I hoped she was happily listening to the chanting and receiving all the merits.

Mum, wherever you are,

May you be happy,
May you be at peace,
May you be safe,
May you laugh often,
May you take care of yourself happily!
